We believe in the goodness of nature. For years we searched for a dairy alternative that left us feeling vital and energised, whilst satisfying that craving for milky goodness. We wanted almond milk that was made from real almonds, not almond flavouring. We wanted a creaminess that was derived from real foods, not thickeners, preservatives and fillers. To us, this meant quality, additive-free, pure and of course, natural. From this simple concept Luz Almond was born with a purpose of sharing a passion for living well for the health conscious Australian.
One of the most important issues for team Luz was finding a way to preserve the goodness of each almond when producing on a commercial scale. To do this, we decided to cold-press the milk; a slow-speed process that ensures the maximum amount of vitamins, minerals and enzymes are retained after production. As a consequence, we are not in favour of heat-treating or high speed blending (which some people mistakenly call cold pressing), as they adversely impact nutritional value. After scouring the globe, we have sourced proven cold press production technology from Spain that will not compromise the nutritional value and artisanal quality we pride ourselves on.
